Sharon Woods is a mixture of forests and fields with towering oak hickory and beech trees and an 11-acre lake. The park is a popular spot to exercise outdoors with a 26-mile paved multi-purpose trail around the lake a 10-mile Parcours trail and the 07-mile Gorge nature trail. Named for Sharon Township where it is located this park is among the most frequently visited. As the oldest park Sharon Woods has a rich history of providing great recreational opportunities like fishing boating golfing and hiking.
